Ex-special forces operative Kim Do Gi suffered a tragic loss when his mother was murdered. At his lowest ebb, he met Jang Seong Cheol, the CEO of Rainbow Taxi, a vigilante organization that poses as a luxury taxi service. Rainbow Taxi “drivers” are actually undercover agents who specialize in punishing criminals who have evaded justice. But when Rainbow Taxi’s operations bring the operation into contact with a network of loan sharks, the team starts to sense it may have to deal with its biggest challenge yet. The network, Rainbow Taxi learns, is linked to an international human trafficking ring. Can the vigilantes expand their reach overseas – and defeat the ring’s evil masterminds?

The team is back together again for another season of my favorite crime fighting vigilante team avenging those that are too weak to avenge themselves. This season took us on international adventures and our vigilante team has grown in experience because everyone was in on the action this go around, not just Kim Do Gi. It was nice to see the rest of the team supporting Kim Do Gi in the field, and not just from inside the van. It was good to see their teamwork in action again. It’s one of my favorite things about this show. How everyone brings something to the table, and contributes to the teams success.

This season packed in some interesting cases, introduced us to some memorable characters, but also let us catch up with familiar faces from the team’s past cases. There was a lot going on this season, but it was nice to see the humble beginnings of the Rainbow Taxi Service. Seeing the team tackle cold cases along with present day ones made each week a lot of fun. Throughout the entire run of this show, it was my favorite. At one point, this was the only on going series that I was watching but I waited faithfully for the new episodes to drop each week.

This seasons cases included a human trafficking case that took the team to Japan. There was a used car crime ring. The very first Rainbow Taxi service case of finding the killer of a friend’s son that led them to a gambling den. There was a group of idol trainees being pimped out to their CEO’s clients. There was a resale app that was doing customers dirty, and then there was the case of what happened to one of Do Gi’s friends from the military. My favorite case of the bunch was probably the case of finding out what happened to Do Gi’s military friend. The friend was played by Jeon So Nee, and I really enjoy her acting so it was good to see her briefly in her episodes.

This season was another action packed season that I really enjoyed. It was so good to see the team back in action but it was also nice to see some familiar faces from seasons past. I also enjoyed seeing older clients come back and help the Rainbow Taxi Team with a case so we got to see everyone in on the action. We got a lot of scenes with Kim Do Gi and Ahn Go Eun and there’s a lot of teasing at their close relationship but no confession, no real couple moments, just a whole lot of…maybe. I know that this is not a romance drama but a little romance wouldn’t have hurt, especially if this is the last season but oh well. Still solid ass season. Nice to see the gang back together again and that ending to the last episode wrapped things up nicely, in my opinion, so all in all, I’m happy and I do recommend this show if you’re in the mood for an action drama that takes down the bad guys.

Born of the land but raised by the sea, King and TOAFA—two Lupe warriors—grew into legends, known for their unmatched skill and restraint in battle. Though feared and revered, they never sought conquest—only protection. Yet, whispers of their power spread across kingdoms, drawing both admiration and fear.

When King is summoned back to his birthplace, the island of Latu, he faces an identity he never knew. The people welcome him as Peau—the tide that returns—but his presence awakens long-buried tensions. His mother, Tupou, refuses to let him claim the land, while his forgotten grandmother, Selu, sees the truth in his eyes.

As King dedicates himself to saving the starving islanders, he defies the ancient warnings and leads a mission into the forbidden Sea of Leanga. There, he finds an abundance of fish—but no Anga warriors, as he had been led to believe. Had he been deceived?

Meanwhile, Tupou, driven by grief and pride, launches an attack on the Anga, seeking to eradicate them before they can retaliate. But the battle is not a victory—it is a massacre. The Anga are nearly wiped out.

Devastated, King realizes that he cannot deny the people who would die for him. He bids farewell to the Tangata, promising to return to his grandmother, and embraces the weight of his destiny.

As the tides pull him home, King is no longer just a warrior.

He is Peau. The tide that returns. The King who will reign beneath the waves.

This book was very short. I like the story and feel there’s so much potential. The writing felt a little everywhere and more like bullet points than a story telling. I just wanted more detail. Wanted more depth. Just MORE. The book is supposed to be about the King and his brother Toafa (the conqueror), but we only ever really got the King’s story. And for some reason I pictured the Lupe and the Anga as the sea creatures from the movie Luca. 😅

Overall, I didn’t hate it, didn’t love it. It was just different for me.

The third in the steamy, hilarious Campus Diaries series by New York Times bestselling author Elle Kennedy, set in the same world as Off Campus and Briar U.

College senior Charlotte Kingston is living two lives―and she’s nailing both of them. By day, she’s the perfect sorority girl, a STEM student in biomedical engineering, and the adopted daughter of an overachiever family. At night, she’s Charlie: a risk-taking daredevil looking for fun who finds herself chatting on a dating app with two anonymous hotties.

Will Larsen may seem like the breezy boy next door, but his congressman father is a constant thorn in his side. After a scandal hits another Division 1 hockey program, Will’s dad is determined to distance his son from it, hiring a journalist to prove how squeaky-clean Will and his team are. Which means the last thing Will wants is for anyone to find out he and his best friend Beckett Dunne―a laidback Aussie shielding secret heartache―sometimes share girls in the bedroom.

When Charlie finally meets them in person and realizes she’s been chatting with two gorgeous Briar U hockey players, things get steamy―fast. But all their messy secrets are piling up, and real life soon threatens to shatter the fantasy. With Charlie, Will, and Beckett all coming to terms with what they want and what others want for them, difficult decisions will need to be made.

Especially when lust starts to look a lot like love.

This is my very first review here on the blog so please forgive me if this is all rambling nonsense. I’m trying! My Mom introduced me to Elle Kennedy a while ago and if you know me, you know I love me some Elle Kennedy. I have enjoyed every single book that I’ve read by her and while I liked this one, it wasn’t a favorite. But it was still a solid story.

The Charlie Method was the last book that I read for the month of April and I’m kind of not sure how I felt about the romance in it. I didn’t doubt that Charlie loved both Will and Beckett but I did feel like this was more of Charlie and Beckett’s romance with their bestie Will. The whole relationship just felt lopsided and because of that, I was left feeling off about it all. Granted, this is my first “Why Choose” book and I’m not opposed to that kind of relationship, I guess I don’t understand the dynamics of this kind of relationship because I felt that we didn’t get equal time for each person in the romance. I did love both Beckett and Will, I just wanted more Will. Reading this book was like being on a seesaw. There were times where I wanted Charlotte to be with Beckett and then there were times I was rooting for Will. Because of that, I’m not mad about the way it ended. This was my first “Why Choose” book but it won’t be my last. I’m curious enough to read more because…do all of these kinds of romances end happily? I hope so but we’ll see.

Overall, this book was a 4 star read for me. I loved the way that it dipped into every aspect of Charlotte’s life with her family, biological brother, sorority sisters, and her romance life. I liked the way this book introduced romance, based on a dating app. I feel like nowadays that’s how people are finding their “match” or next hookup. I was intrigued the whole time while reading it and I can’t wait to find other books in this genre! Guys whose book is next? There has to be at least one more in this series, right? Fingers crossed!
